Recap of the LCCA 2023 Annual Convention in Concord
The LCCA 53rd Annual Convention was held in Concord, North Carolina, the home of Lionel. Over 400 members (800 in total) attended. Lionel assisted in the planning. As you know, these past months have been a tough time for our economy with rising inflation and the expenses related thereto. The LCCA has not been immune to these increases. In June of this year, I formed a committee consisting of myself, Past President Harry Hampson, President-Elect Mark Kempfer, and our Treasurer Don MacCormack, to review the club’s expenditures and our overall financial condition. What we found is all of our vendors have increased the cost of their services to the club.

LCCA opens new tours for its 2023 Convention! The response to the 2023 Concord Convention has been exceptional. Two tours, the visit to the Lionel Facility, and the Wednesday NASCAR Motor Sports tour to multiple racing team shops quickly filled up. The Lionel and the LCCA have been able to open an additional tour to the Lionel facility on Wednesday morning and another Wednesday tour to visit two different NASCAR racing teams.
